NIKKYVERSE is above all a universe born from my passion for stories, books, and all those imaginary worlds where we love to disappear for a few hours.
I've always loved that particular feeling a story can evoke: opening a book, meeting characters you don't know yet, and then, a few chapters later, feeling like you've truly experienced something with them. Some stories make us laugh, others move us, intrigue us, or simply make us want to stay in their world a little longer. That's exactly the feeling I want to convey through NIKKYVERSE.
NIKKYVERSE is therefore not a single universe with a single story. It's a collection of different worlds, united by the same desire: to tell stories that you don't just read, but that you can feel and experience.
You'll discover different eras, mysterious atmospheres, contemporary or imaginary universes, investigations, complex relationships, emotions, romances, imperfect characters, and sometimes worlds where the line between reality and imagination becomes much thinner. Each story has its own identity, its own atmosphere, and its own characters, while retaining that small part of NIKKYVERSE that connects them all.
✦ WHY NIKKYVERSE?
Because my imagination has never truly wanted to stay within a single story.
An idea can emerge from a scene, a piece of music, an era, a conversation, a character, or even a simple image. And quite often, this little idea starts to grow. A place appears, then a character, then their story, their relationships, their secrets… until a new universe almost entirely exists in my mind.
Creating NIKKYVERSE was, therefore, a way to give all these worlds a place.
I didn't want to have to choose between mystery, romance, history, contemporary, or fantasy. I wanted to be able to write a story in the streets of old London, then create another in a completely different setting, without losing what makes my narratives unique.
NIKKYVERSE became the place where all these stories can exist.
✦ MY PASSIONS & INSPIRATIONS
My worlds are profoundly influenced by everything I'm passionate about.
Literature, of course, plays an important role. I love books, old bookstores, libraries, manuscripts, stories that seem to have transcended time, and the idea that a simple work can contain an entire world between a few hundred pages.
I also love history, especially when it allows me to reconstruct an era with its places, atmosphere, and way of life. British settings and London naturally reappear in my imagination, as do mysteries, investigations, secrets, and characters whose various facets are gradually revealed.
But what I probably love most are the characters.
I want them to have their qualities, their flaws, their contradictions, their wounds, their humor, and their own ways of loving or hating. I want to see them evolve, make mistakes, start over, and build relationships that don't always feel pre-written.
Because a good story matters immensely, but it's often the characters we carry with us long after the book is finished.
✦ HOW IS A NIKKYVERSE WORLD BORN?
There isn't really a formula.
Sometimes, it all starts with a very specific scene that I imagine even before knowing the beginning of the story. Other times, a character appears first. It can also be enough for an atmosphere, a piece of music, or a place to make something begin to take shape.
Then comes everything else.
I gradually build the characters, their stories, the settings, the relationships, the events, and all those little details that make a universe credible. Some ideas change completely during the writing process, others become much more important than expected, and some characters seem to almost decide for themselves the role they want to play.
That's also what I love about creation: starting with an idea and gradually discovering how far it can take us.
✦ WHAT YOU'LL FIND IN NIKKYVERSE
NIKKYVERSE is not limited to a single genre. Each story can open the door to a completely different atmosphere: mystery, romance, investigation, emotions, imaginary worlds, or tales inspired by other eras.
Some books will draw you into secret-filled London streets, others into more contemporary or entirely imaginary universes. You will encounter complex characters, discover relationships that evolve over the pages, and enter stories where emotions always play an important role.
The idea is simple: each book should be a new door to open, while maintaining the unique identity of NIKKYVERSE.
✦ AND THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING...
NIKKYVERSE is destined to evolve.
New stories will join the existing ones. New universes will appear, some characters may return, and some stories may develop far beyond a single book.
I want this place to grow with my creations, but also to become a place where everyone can choose the world that best resonates with them.
